Description

The ASID Texas Chapter Dallas Design Community invites Emerging Interior Designers and their guests to join them for the March Emerging Designers Peer Group event: A Progressive Showroom Tour in which you will learn how to design and specify custom draperies for your residential, hospitality and healthcare projects.

We will begin our evening by touring the 15,000 sq feet workroom of ASID Industry Partner Design District Custom Drapery [8820 Directors Row, Dallas, TX 75247], who have been working directly with the trade since 2006. Their work has been published in trade magazines such as Architectural Digest, Luxe and D Home.

We will then end our evening with drinks and light snacks at the perfectly curated showroom of ASID Industry Partner Stacy Coulter & Associates [1305 Wycliff Ave, Ste. 100, Dallas, TX 75207] where we will peruse their carefully selected collection of lines, ranging from renowned, iconic brands to smaller unique companies. They take extraordinary pride in offering knowledgeable, efficient and creative services that carry the furniture, fabric, window coverings and drapery hardware to the next level.

Organized by

The Dallas Design Community is one of five design communities that make up the ASID Texas Chapter, which is part of the larger American Society of Interior Designers [ASID], a community of people – designers, industry representatives, educators and students – committed to interior design. Through education, knowledge sharing and advocacy, the Society strives to advance the interior design profession and, in the process, to demonstrate and celebrate the power of design to positively impact and change people’s lives. Of the Society’s 24,000 Practitioners, 20% practice Residential design, 30% practice Commercial design, and 50% practice both. The ASID Texas Chapter represents 1,700+ Practitioner, Educator, Student and Industry Representative members (almost 1,100 of which are Practitioners and/or Educators) throughout the state of Texas excluding the greater Houston area, which is covered by the ASID Texas Gulf Coast Chapter. Since the Texas Chapter is quite large both in membership and in geographic expanse, most of the programming throughout the year takes place in the Design CommunitiesAustin, Dallas, Fort Worth, San Antonio, and West Texas. Our members work in both the residential and commercial fields, either as sole proprietors or as part of small or large firms. Within the state and around the world, they provide valuable services and useful products to their clients. Our members strive to improve the quality of life for all of their clients through the creation of aesthetically pleasing, thoughtful design that takes into account the health, safety and welfare of the public.
